The Bode City Council met in regular session Monday April 2,
2018 at 6PM in the council chambers. All members were present.  Mayor Miller called the meeting to order; a
motion was made by Douglas, second by Rongved to approve the agenda. A motion
was made by Douglas, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the previous
meeting as published. All ayes, motion carried. 
Todd McMahon, City Maintenance reported that the DNR had just
done an annual water inspection and the report should be available soon. He also
mentioned that the back blade on the tractor is not working as it should.
Following discussion Todd was directed to obtain prices to replace this blade
and bring it to the next council meeting.
A motion
was made by Douglas, second by Rongved to approve the Liquor License request
for the Red Lantern. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion
was made by Douglas, second by Rongved to approve Resolution # 2018-1 “A
Resolution to adopt a Hazard Mitigation Plan for the City of Bode. Roll call:
Rongved, Peterson, Dale, Douglas, and Tepner all voting aye.
A motion
was made by Tepner, second by Peterson to approve a building permit for a 34x34
garage to be built at 400 College Ave. All ayes, motion carried.
Amotion
was made by Rongved, second by Tepner to contract LP for the 2018-19 season
through Farmers Cooperative. The city will pay 1.18 for 2000 gallons up front
and contract the following 2000 gallons for 1.23 per gallon. All ayes, motion
carried.
A motion
was made by Douglas, second by Tepner to approve Housing Payable # 6 in the
amount of $17,999, all in favor motion carried.
Todd
directed to contact Site Services for the removal of asbestos for the building
located at 107 Humboldt Ave, the cost for removal is $1250. Once the asbestos
is removed the city will continue with the demolition/removal of this building.
